Thanks for your comment and good to see you have too have Western District Families. There were some unfortunate accidents with horse drawn vehicles. I’m guessing the “roads” would not have been that good around Moriac in 1865 either.

My maternal ancestors come from the Western Districts. I have another misadventure – at this stage not verified.
A James Samuel Morris born c1806 Harlington, UK died at the 8 Mile Post at Moriac on Mar 4 1865 possibly being thrown from his buggy or similar.
