This week’s Trove Tuesday article first came to my attention in The Ararat Advertiser. It was barely legible but luckily the Gippsland Mercury ran the same story on February 24, 1914.

How great would be it be if all the obituaries listed the parents and grandparents names
It’s a pity they thought this was only appropriate for the ‘important’ ones

I’m with Aillin on this Merron. Inn’t it great that different newspapers reported the same stories, sometimes with a slightly different “spin” giving us a chance to follow through.
